To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan 12, the Playoff colorway is set to arrive in 2022 for the first time since 2012.

The Air Jordan 12 “Playoff” is dressed in a black leather upper with white overlays on the medial and later mudguard, as well as silver accents on the top two eyelets and the Jumpman branding on the lateral side. The tongue features a red Jumpman logo with “Two 3” stitched down the tongue and the Jordan tag utilized down on the heel tab. A white Phylon midsole with a red “23” appearing on the outsole heel. The Jordan 12 was also the first Air Jordan to feature Zoom Air which is a full-length setup. Additionally, a carbon fiber plate is utilized for rigidity and herringbone traction finish off the sneaker.

The Air Jordan 12 “Playoff” was originally released in 1997, with Michael Jordan wearing these in the 1997 NBA Playoffs run alongside the “Flu Game” colorway. MJ also had the Playoff 12s on when he hit the game-winner in Game 1 of the NBA Finals and the championship-clinching game in Game 6, which led to his 5th NBA title.

The Air Jordan 12 “Playoff” was set to release during NBA All-Star Weekend but now is pushed back to March 1st due to supply chain issues. Check out the official photos below and our Jordan Release Dates page when we have more information and updates on the classic Air Jordan.
