Nike Sportswear has been blessing a laundry list of its collaborative partners with Dunk collaborations over the course of 2020, and the latest entity to join in on the fun is Bodega — thanks to a duo of striking takes on the Dunk High.
Boasting extreme attention to detail, a retro-tinged look and quality materials, the bicoastal retailer’s Dunk collaboration is seemingly part sneaker and part moccasin.
Two colorways have been revealed: “Fauna Brown” and “Sail.” The former uses medium and dark brown shades atop a cream base, while the latter goes for a full sail upper with scant brown accents. Both feature moccasin-like leather rope lace assemblages on the quarter, collar and heel, working with the premium leather and suede build to give off a visvim-adjacent look.
These suede and leather panels feature intricate stitched details as well, and a Bodega spellout graphic is stamped on the medial quarter. The lateral quarters jewel Swoosh offers up a spotted tortoiseshell print for a final dash of flair. Of note is that the scribbles on the “Sail” pair’s midsole are not part of the design — they’re a mark indicating that the shoe pictured is likely a factory sample.
An official release date for the Bodega x Nike Dunk High “Fauna Brown” and “Sail” has yet to be announced, but the MSRP is set at $120 USD.
