It appears that Nike SB will be getting a little political with their coveted Nike SB Dunk Low which is set to feature a “Vietnam” rendition that honors the 25th Anniversary of the US and Vietnam’s relationship.
With the giant curveball 2020 threw at us, the 25th Anniversary of the US’s and Vietnam’s relationship was not on any minds but the anniversary deserves credit and some attention and respects to Nike SB, they decided to do it themselves. Dedicating an entire shoe to the commemorative event, the Dunk Low will feature a special design honoring the friendship and diplomatic relations the two countries have established although once enemies on the battlefield.
Featuring a Vietnam colorway, white leather equips the toes and side paneling while red suede covers the toe, forefoot, ankle, and heel. Completing the countries colors, a 3-D Nike Swoosh features black, red, and gold, while the star that adorns Vietnam’s flag, accents the heels. A special Nike 25 tongue logo graces the tongue while a Vietnam and United Stated inspired 25 graphic highlights the toes. A red midsole and gold rubber outsole add the finishing touches to the sentimental silhouette.
