With Travis Scott’s final Jordan release underway, Jordan Brand has been looking for new ways to fill the earth-toned sneaker shortage its fans are set to face. In place of the Cactus Jack collabs, we’ve seen the brand look to roll out “Palomino” tones across the AJ1 and AJ3, but now it looks set to revive an icon, with the Air Jordan 5 “Olive” ready to receive a 2024 release.
Long before Scott, “Olive” tones were still a hit – and this pair is the perfect example. Having last received a release all the way back in 2006, the AJ5 “Olive” is a welcome retro, offering up a military-style colourway where the titular hue hits the majority of the upper, and bright orange detailing adds an extra pop of colour. Much like the original pair, the “Olive” AJ5 is also expected to arrive with a suede build, and feature 3M tongues that contrast with orange Jumpman logos. This will all come finished with matching green and orange midsoles that round the pair off perfectly.
As one of the earliest non-original AJ5 colourways, the Air Jordan 5 “Olive” is sure to be a hit, so stay tuned for more info and images as they come in, and check out the images of the 2006 pair right here.
